  • CFR 418.56  Interdisciplinary Group
  • Hospice must designate an IDG (or groups) composed of individuals who provide or supervise the care and services offered by the hospice
  • If the hospice has more than one interdisciplinary group, it must identify a specifically designated interdisciplinary group to establish policies governing the day-to-day provision of hospice care and services.
  • Role of the IDG
  • Participation in the establishment of the Plan of Care.
  • Provision or supervision of hospice care and services.
  • Periodic review and updating the Plan of Care for the individual receiving hospice care.
  • Establishment of policies governing day-to-day provision of hospice care and services.
